You're Not Failing. You're Stuck in a Pattern.

Partners working through communication challenges with therapist

You might be frustrated, numb, or relationally exhausted. You feel like you’re repeating the same arguments, retreating instead of connecting, or hiding from conflict rather than resolving it. Maybe you became parents and somewhere between the sleep deprivation, the mental load, and the new roles, you lost each other a little.

You’re probably here because:

  • You and your partner keep circling the same fights

  • You feel emotionally or physically disconnected

  • Parenting, finances, or life transitions are straining your bond

  • Trust has been broken or boundaries crossed

  • Intimacy feels distant or missing

You’re not broken but you are stuck in a pattern. And patterns can be changed.

Couples Therapy Based on Attachment & Repair

Beneath each argument is a deeper longing: to feel seen, safe, and understood by your partner. That longing, when unmet, leads us into reactivity, defensiveness, or withdrawing from each other. Couples therapy gives you tools to:

  • Identify and de-escalate negative cycles

  • Express vulnerabilities and needs in ways your partner can hear

  • Navigate the relationship shifts that come with parenthood, postpartum, and growing a family together

  • Rebuild emotional safety and trust

  • Restore closeness, intimacy, and partnership

You’ll no longer just argue less — you’ll feel like you’re on the same team again.

FAQs

What type of couples therapy do you provide?

I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — a highly researched, effective model for couples. EFT focuses on identifying the negative patterns that keep you stuck, understanding the underlying emotions driving those patterns, and creating new ways of reaching for each other with safety and trust.

Is couples therapy about blaming or figuring out who’s wrong?

No. Couples therapy is not about pointing fingers or deciding who is “right.” It’s about understanding how you both get caught in cycles that pull you apart and working together to shift those patterns into ones that build connection.

Will you get my partner to change?

Couples therapy isn’t about “fixing” or forcing your partner to change. What we do is create space for both of you to show up honestly, safely, and vulnerably. Change happens when both partners feel safe enough to open up and try new ways of connecting and EFT is designed to help with that.

What if my partner is abusive?

Couples therapy is not appropriate or safe in situations where there is ongoing abuse, intimidation, or coercion. Therapy relies on both partners being able to safely express themselves without fear of harm. If you are experiencing abuse, I’d want to ensure your safety and help you access the right support and resources. Find more resources here: National Domestic Violence Hotline.

How long are sessions and what do they cost?

Sessions are 60-minutes or 90-minutes long. The fee is $250 per session (60-minutes) or $350 per session (90-minutes). I am private pay and do not accept insurance, but I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if there is medical necessity.

Remote couples counseling via secure video platform

Hi, I’m Stephanie.

I'm a licensed therapist, a mom, and someone who deeply believes in the power of repair. Even when things have felt broken for a long time.

I've worked with couples navigating postpartum stress, parenting conflicts, betrayal, and the slow drift that happens when life gets busy and connection quietly slips away. I know it can feel lonely when you're sharing a life with someone but still feel disconnected. The silence after an argument, the tension during small talk, the longing to feel seen again. I can be heartbreaking. And it's also exactly what this work is designed to address.

In our sessions together you'll have a space where both of you feel heard…not judged, not managed, not told who's right. Just supported in finding your way back to each other.

Let’s begin the work of healing together, today.
